Chawan by Danny Kostyshin, fired in a soda-fired kiln. Made in Vancouver, BC.
An earthy, calming chawan. Stoneware clay body. The outside is blue-grey with slightly textured ridges. The inside is celadon-glazed and is beautiful and sublime - a matte, crackled pale seafoam green color on one side that transitions into a slightly textured sandy yellow surface.
A medium to larger chawan that feels heavier in the hands.
