"Matcha Velvet 7" is a new, exclusive line of single origin, single cultivar shincha (new harvest) matcha from Yame, Fukuoka. This series is a rare opportunity to taste matcha from the famous Yame region in its most pristine state: freshly harvested, direct from the grower, and unblended.
A paradoxical matcha, Saeakari opens light and closes rich! It has a soothing toasted quality to it, like genmaicha, that deepens into a nutty sweetness as its flavour intensifies. This matcha takes us on such a journey we had to make two tasting charts for it: one for its beginning, and one for its finish.
Smell: toasted grain, soba cha
