Matcha "Velvet 7" is a new, exclusive line of single origin, single cultivar shincha (new harvest) matcha from Yame, Fukuoka. This series is a rare opportunity to taste matcha from the famous Yame region in its most pristine state: freshly harvested, direct from the grower, and unblended.

We launch this series with perhaps the gentlest and the most outstanding of the 7 cultivars: Saemidori has such a soft, refined and refreshing quality, it shifts our understanding of what matcha from Yame can be like. It has an incredibly creamy mouthfeel, with notes of soybean, tea leaf, and bamboo.
