平阴粉玫瑰
Harvest
May 2022
Origin
Suqian, Jiangsu
These roses come from Suqian, Jiangsu Province – a place where roses have been cultivated since the Tang Dynasty, for roughly 1300 years.
The ones we have sourced for Cultivate are of the Pingyin varietal: they are a distinct pink colour with a blue-ish purple undertone, and are particularly rich in flavour.
After the fresh rose buds were picked, they have been left to dry naturally and slowly, without the addition of any chemicals or sulphites. The result is a clear and direct encounter with red roses. Their tea is richly aromatic, like potpourri, while still being soft and gentle to drink.
