自然农法 白玫瑰

Harvest
May 2023

Origin
Suqian, Jiangsu

These exquisite snow roses are from Suqian, Jiangsu Province – a place where roses have been cultivated since the Tang Dynasty, for roughly 1300 years. They are materfully farmed, without chemicals or fertilizers.

Once the fresh rose buds are picked, they are allowed to air dry naturally and slowly over the course of 2 weeks. Nothing else is added to them before they are finished for use as tea.

Drinking the tea of white roses is an enchanting experience: it is both more subdued and more sweet than tea from a red rose. These buds brew a muted, golden liquor that feels silky in the mouth. The tea is very pretty, and very floral, with undertones of clover honey and hay.
