True Cliff Dahongpao
A beautifully floral “true cliff” yancha from Qingshiyan 青狮岩 or “jade lion cliff”, within the Wuyishan Reserve Area. This Dahongpao is a blend of three cultivars: rougui, shuixian, and meizhan, grown and harvested by the cliffs of Qingshiyan.
The tea was harvested by hand in May 2018, withered, oxidized, rolled, then put through several rounds of mid-fire roasting that lasted 5 months.
This tea is distinctively “cliff”, with pronounced mineral and floral notes.
