FAQS

1) How do I book a tasting?

Book online through our website, on the Tea Tasting page. You only need one booking for your whole party, since we host one group at a time - just note how many people are in your party in the Notes section. You don't pay when you book; payment is taken in person after your tasting.

2) How far in advance can I book?

You can book up to two months (60 days) in advance.

3) How many guests can you accommodate for each tasting?

We can accommodate 1-6 guests for each booking.

4) Can I add a person on the day?

Yes, up to a maximum of six people. It's best to note your party size in the Notes when you book, but you can add people on the day.

5) Can I change which tasting I booked?

Yes. Your booking reserves the time slot for your group, and you can change the tasting when you arrive. If you think you might change it, come in a little early - at least ten minutes - since the tasting runs about 45-50 minutes.

6) Can I change the number of people after booking?

Yes. You can increase or decrease your party without telling us in advance, as long as it stays between two and six people.

7) Can I pay for a tasting online?

Payment is taken in person rather than at booking. If you’d like to pay online, purchase a Tea Tasting gift card on our gift card page: you’ll receive a code to pay with, then book online and bring the code when you come in.

8) Are the matcha or matcha lattes prepared during the tasting to be shared by guests?

Yes, we prepare a full serving of each to be shared between two people. For parties of 1 person, we prepare half portions of each drink.

9) How many matcha do we get to try on our tasting?

The number of matcha you'll taste will depend on how many people are in your group. A group of 2 people will taste 3 different matcha; a group of 3 people will taste 4; a group of 4 people will taste 5 or 6; and a group of 5 or 6 people will taste our entire collection, including hojicha - 7 in total.

10) Can we pick our own matcha/hojicha for the tasting?

Yes, we are happy to suggest a menu or customize one based on your interests.

11) What milk do you use?

We use neutral oat milk that is made without added oil.

12) Do you offer hot/cold?

We serve our matcha lattes chilled, without ice, for the best tasting experience. For ceremonial matcha, they are served the traditional way, prepared with hot water.
