We are guided by tea and its simplicity, but are moved by the beauty of the places it grows, the humbleness of the craftsmen who handle it, and the depth of the culture that surrounds it.

We took our first sourcing trip through a remote, mountainous tea region of China in 2013, and it has been our guiding principle to source tea directly from its place of origin ever since. Every long or tedious trip we have made has been worth it: to meet exceptional producers in person, and encounter the places and people our teas come from.   

We build enduring relationships with craftsmen, whose work reflects the place they live, its seasons, and generations of knowledge. 

Rather than offering a large catalogue, we maintain a curated selection, continually finding new things that evolve it. Each tea is chosen for its clarity of flavor, character, and sense of place.
