Chawan No. 50

Chawan by Danny Kostyshin, fired in a soda-fired kiln. Made in Vancouver, BC.

Cobra shino glaze on the outside, producing beautiful earthy colors of grey, blueish-grey with light green streaks. Hand-carved ridges on the outside. On the inside, clear glaze, and a little surprise of jade green on the bottom caused by accidental ash deposits during the firing process.

It is a medium to larger sized chawan, with a nice weight in the hands.
