Chawan by Danny Kostyshin, fired in gas-fired reduction kiln. Made in Vancouver, BC.

A sublime beautiful chawan. Stoneware clay body. The outside is a white glaze that is heavily textured and feels uneven in the hands. The inside is stunning - pale ice blue hues with unexpected maroon droplets and iron spots.

A small to medium sized chawan with a heavier, earthy feel in the hands.
